Throughout the year we will be studying life science using a variety of activities such as, but not limited to, labs, projects and activities, diagrams, models, Cornell notes, videos, study skills, thinking maps, etc. We will be following the California State Standards for Life Science. Topics include, but are not limited to, The Metric System, Characteristics of Living Things, Plant and Animal Cells, Cell Division, Heredity/Genetics, Darwin's Theory and Evolution/Geologic Time, and Plant Reproduction.

 With cold/flu and allergy season upon us,I have so appreciated all the Kleenex donations as well as the school supplies from the cards on my door at back to school night! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!  I am now good for Kleenex but am on my last container of Anti Bacterial Wipes for the students to clean their desks and counters with. I will give 3 gold cards for one container of wipes up to 2 Containers/6 Gold Cards per student. Lysol or Clorox are well known brands but the store brands are good too. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP (-: !!

Tues. 4/10 Homework

Please complete Q's 3-5 on the Green sheet using the maps and handouts provided for information. Also If you would like to be a little ahead of the game you can complete the BACK of the Pink Biodiversity Lab worksheet and do Q 5A and Q. 6 fill in the boxes using the Characteristics of a Biome Handout which I have posted along with the fully color coded map and Earth's Energy Distribution H.O. as well. Tomorrow we will look at numbers of Endangered Species in California.
