Those students who do not return books or pay all fines owed will not receive their Promotional Certificate. A student will still be promoted, but not receive their official Promotional Certificate.

Please make sure you know where your textbooks are located. Check to see if there is any damage to books. Students with damaged books caused by dogs, water damage, ripped pages, or writing on the pages will be charged a damage fee. Students who do not turn in textbooks from all classes will be charged for the replacement cost of any book that is not returned. Students will be placed on the exclusion list if books are not returned or paid for by May 22nd which will prevent them from participating in the end-of-the-year activities.
All books must be returned by Friday, May 15th. Students who have not returned books by final due date risk being on the exclusion list. If you know you have an overdue book, please return it. There are no overdue fees. Fees are charged only if library book is lost, stolen or damaged.
The main objective of ASB is to make students feel connected to school and each other through involvement in ASB organized activities. If you feel you would like to represent the students at Alvarado and are ready to make a commitment to creating a fun and positive school environment, then come to the ASB information meeting Wednesday, April 29th during nutrition. Talent Show applications are available at the student window. We need students with a variety of talent: Singers, dancers, instrument players, joke tellers, jugglers, martial arts. If you have a special talent, we want to see it. So pick up an application so you can be part of the most memorable day of the year. They are due to Mrs. Lucero in room 2 by Friday, April 24th.
Cell Phones: If you have lost a cell phone, please check in Room 4. They have 4 unclaimed lost/found cell phones.
