NCAA Brackets Picks
You will receive a green paper with the NCAA tournament brackets. If your homeroom would like to play, please have them pick the winner for the four regions. Turn the paper into me by the end of homeroom tomorrow.
League of Legends School Wide Tournament
League of Legends School Wide Tournament is just around the corner. Form your team and sign up at the student store. Entry is $25 for a team. Permission slips are required for each player.
Alvarado’s Most Wanted
Alvarado’s Most Wanted will be happening at lunch in the amphitheater. We will be encourage students who have not been pictured in the yearbook to come to the amphitheater with a friend to take a picture for our friends page. Students will receive a treat.

Basketball season has arrived! -
Attention all students who are interested in basketball. We will be starting practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. First practice is this Tuesday, March 3rd. You must bring the participation card and a separate change of clothes to practice. You may NOT use your PE clothes for practices. See you on the courts! Coach Hayakawa
Jog-a-thon raffle tickets
Students may turn in their jog-a-thon raffle tickets to the student store until the end of the month (March).
Student ID's - $3.00
Student ID’s: are available in the front office for $3.00. Please ask for Mrs. Hauser. An ID is needed if you are planning to attend the Spring Dance.
8th Grade East Coast Travelers
8th Grade East Coast Travelers- Student only meeting on Wednesday, March 4th at 2:30 in room 61. The meeting is 1/2 hour. Please make plans to be picked up at 3 PM that day. See Mr. Grelling if you have any questions.

At today's Morning Break Club meeting, the attached PowerPoint was used. It will be translated to Spanish and Chinese and those versions will be posed here by Friday. Slides 1-13 were the only ones presented during the meeting. The remainder are for more detailed information.

CJSF -- accepting applications Now!!!
Attention All Students: CJSF(California Junior Scholarship Federation) is now accepting applications for second semester! CJSF is an honor society that seeks to acknowledge any student who maintains a 3.5 G.P.A or above. 7th grade students may now apply. Former 8th grade members also need to reapply. Applications are available at the student window. Any questions, please see Ms. Phung in room 14 or Ms. Abbott in room 11.
Unattended backpacks
Students, please do not leave your backpacks unattended. You should always have your backpack with you during nutrition and lunch.
