Throughout the year we will be studying life science using a variety of activities such as, but not limited to, labs, projects and activities, diagrams, models, Cornell notes, videos, study skills, thinking maps, etc. We will be following the California State Standards for Life Science. Topics include, but are not limited to, The Metric System, Characteristics of Living Things, Plant and Animal Cells, Cell Division, Heredity/Genetics, Darwin's Theory and Evolution/Geologic Time, and Plant Reproduction.

 With cold/flu and allergy season upon us,I have so appreciated all the Kleenex donations as well as the school supplies from the cards on my door at back to school night! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!  I am now good for Kleenex but am on my last container of Anti Bacterial Wipes for the students to clean their desks and counters with. I will give 3 gold cards for one container of wipes up to 2 Containers/6 Gold Cards per student. Lysol or Clorox are well known brands but the store brands are good too. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP (-: !!

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD BRING THEIR ECOLOGY #1 FOLDER TO CLASS: 1-3-5 ON 5/23 AND 4-6 ON 5/24

ALL OF MY STUDENTS SHOULD BRING THEIR ECOLOGY #1 FOLDER (WHITE COVERS) BACK TO SCHOOL ON THE NEXT DAY I HAVE THEM. PERIODS 1-3-5 ON WED. 5/23 AND 4-6 ON THUR. 5/24!! 
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING THEM FOR ONE LAST CHECK IN,

BE SURE TO COME in and turn in any missing or make up assignments!!

AS we only have a limited amount of time left to accept missing work or make up work to apply it to your grade, and have it positively affect your final grade in Science PLEASE BE SURE TO COME SEE ME AND TALK TO ME!
You may come in and work on anything during nutrition or lunch if you make arrangements with me! 
Quite a few students have not had their ECOLOGY #1 Folder of work graded and their HW scores and stamps counted! Please Bring in your Folders so we can make this happen for you. It is A LOT of points and will affect your grade.
You still have some time to turn in anything from the ecology unit (:

Please read the News ELA article Titled " Endangered Species: The Giant Panda" and ANNOTATE IT, correctly marking the text using Purple, yellow blue and pink highlighter, and do not  NOT forget to use some red Stars/asterix  for VERY important pieces of information, short pages should have 1, and longer pages should have 2.

Also a Slide #6 has been added! Project managers will receive an updated copy of the checklist tomorrow in class! It would be GREAT if ALL 5 PERIODS OF CLASS TEAMS came with TASKS 1 DONE  and 2 CLOSE TO DONE or DONE :D!!!  They really need to be completed by end of period Tomorrow TUESDAY 5/1 :D!!! 
***Please remember to be completing any MAKE UP WORK/MISSING ASSIGNMENTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND TURN IT INTO ME SOON so I can give you credit/points in the computer :)!!

DIRECTIONS TO COPY AND PASTE SLIDESHOW:

1. Open the slide
2. Hold shift key down, and scroll to highlight all of the slides. 
3. Then push command on a Mac OR control on a PC and the letter c to copy all the slides.
4. Then go to your groups slideshow and highlight SLIDE 1.
5. Then push command on a Mac OR control on an PC and the letter v to paste the entire master copy slide show into Slide 1
