Alvarado Intermediate: A Belief Driven School

Alvarado Intermediate School is a learning community that Empowers Others to Explore Their Greatness through the use of Belief Driven Learning.  Learning built from the inside out.  We align all decisions to our why: a set of shared beliefs and values.  Using this shared foundation, we create a learning community where all members can become the Greatest Version of themselves.

Belief Driven Learning challenges us to take the words off the wall and ask ourselves “Do our actions match our words?” We address this challenge through the implementation of our how, the three R’s: Relationships, Responsiveness, and Reflection. We know meaningful learning can only be achieved when authentic relationships have been built. We know that by being continually responsive to our students' needs, learning will thrive. We know by utilizing cycles of student and teacher reflections, learning will be limitless.

Moving from the inside out, we now find ourselves at the what: instructional strategies and activities. Belief Driven Learning challenges us to intentionally create learning experiences grounded in our beliefs and values that enable all students to showcase their gifts and talents.
