Meet Our Assistant Principal

Assistant Principal: 

Hello Alvarado Students, Families, and Staff,

It is truly an honor to serve as the Assistant Principal of Alvarado Intermediate School. From the moment I joined the Matador community, I felt welcomed and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our students, families, and staff.

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of serving students and families across Rowland Unified in many different capacities from classroom teacher and instructional coach to IB Coordinator and seasonal school administrator. I have worked with students from kindergarten through adulthood, and every role has reinforced my belief that relationships matter, high expectations matter, and every student deserves adults who see their potential and are willing to help them reach it.

At Alvarado, our H.O.N.O.R. values (Honesty, Ownership, Never Give Up, Open Hearted, and Respect) reflect the kind of community I want to help cultivate each day. Intermediate school is an important time of growth and discovery. Our students are learning who they are, finding their voices, making mistakes, building friendships, and becoming more independent. My role is not only to hold them to high expectations, but also to make sure they have the support, guidance, and encouragement they need along the way.

You will often see me out and about on campus because getting to know our students matters to me. I want our students to know that their Assistant Principal is someone who will listen to them, celebrate their successes, hold them accountable when needed, and always want what is best for them.

I look forward to building strong relationships with our students, staff, and families and becoming a trusted partner in this community. I am proud to call Alvarado home, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
