About Me

Welcome to Science! I have enjoyed science for as long as I can remember. In 6th grade, I went to Huntsville, Alabama to U.S. Space Camp for 1 week! My sixth grade teacher really fostered my interest in science as well as inspired me to be a teacher myself. I grew up in Visalia, CA, located in the central valley. I came to Southern California to attend college at Cal State Long Beach. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders as well as my teacher credential. I also have my Masters in Educational Technology. I have worked in Rowland Unified for 8 years! I have 3 wonderful children (ages 12, 11, and 8) with my artistic husband (a graphic designer). We are both active in our church in Long Beach. I love to sing, play soccer, go to the beach, go to Disneyland, go the the movie theatre, and travel (when funds are available). I also play goal keeper on an adult women's soccer team in Chino Hills. I'll probably play soccer until my body won't let me anymore.
