Please watch this video to help you write your materials list and procedure steps (steps are NUMBERED 1,2,etc) For the Track Lab Parts 1 and 2. All students who were not able to write these parts of your lab last night are able to do it tonight and show it to me for a stamp tomorrow (:!

Welcome to our lab on variables when you come into the class today you'll see that your physic stands have already been assembled and probably these walls play some old but we will be using these later on in the year so you need to know how as you put these two pieces of track together you notice if they have a curved line that's can you correct what you want to do is turn it around so that it is nice and flat you'll see the word energy car will be on the other side add energy car matching and turn it upside down containers these two knobs right here screw into the bottom not on the side right into the bottom of your track tight  and will attract also have only one foot on them later on this year will be using two Stockard able to be using one foot there's an incorrect and way and a correct way to do this you'll notice that it has too little things that stick out here do you want to have that face and so as we do this week Thomas I don't unwrite they're tighten the bottom sorry to be assembled for you for today but in the future you'll have to assemble this yourself she's got one foot and then the other side we are going to attach to physics chance  so as you see you're at your table it might be down low it might be up hot that's what we're going to be testing so far just for right now I'm going to place this right here coming in from the other side and once again you should already be set up for you when you come into class to save time so we can spend more time on our laugh I'm also in here you'll find a timer this is your timer it'll need to be plugged in you also call photo Gates you'll have one of the red wire I'm with a blue wire the called photo Gates photos for light gauge so here we have Agate a passageway and what happens if there's a little beam of light and anything that passes through their break fact that light and play able to tell when that light is broken and you'll be plugging your timer I'll show you in a moment which where to plug them in please photo games on your track hooked on from underneath they don't go in from the side they get hooked on from underneath and there are. how long the track each. Is 5 cm apart I'll be talking to you in class which one where your photogates need to be put along the but you want to twist it in so it should stay in place without you having to hold it you have two cars in you're in your bin one blue and one orange we will be putting these down the track I forgot to mention at the end of your where your car will be crashing into we don't want them crashing so we have in your little containers right here we have a little piece of clay make that little piece of clay and it's kind of like a little bumper down at the end so that when you do let go of your car Let It Go and it will just hit that bumper and not crash and fly off everywhere once again these are Photo Gauge will be placing two of them a track  do you want to go up from the bottom tighten it and be looking at these circles along the track that are in 5 Centimeters apart so make sure that they're on there so that they stay on there without you even home hey let me show you a close-up of how they hook into your timer to hear the timer that's already been set up notice it is on interval that is what you want it on because we wanted to go from A to B make sure that A and B are both a green light notice the red is going to go into a and blue is going to go in to be what help you remember blue V blue beats in order for this to work for today's lab it needs to be on interval you can change this by pressing the yellow button we don't need a stopwatch we don't need to count we need interval interval and we need to make sure that both A and B are both lit and you can see that the go to Gates Right Here have their green lights saying that they're ready to go nothing is blocking them if I were to stick my finger through it you'll notice it turns red I'm blah the light I'm blocking the light 10th that's how you know they're up and running and working once again this is your timer up see it's going so we're going to figure out how to breakfast tomorrow obviously reset what I just did was to reset it back to zero make sure it is plugged in here on the side some of them may need to be turned on or not once again red goes into a blue into B and have it at interval and you're ready to go
