today we're going to be learning how to use data to create a graph so the first thing you want to do is you I look at the ring cuz that's going to determine your biggest numbers and your smallest numbers on your craft this is also known as the scale so does the s of tails so you need to look from the lowest number to the highest number on your data set so for our X over here we see goes from 0 to 100 good summer range or our scale is 100 on our y-axis we look and we see that it goes from 0 to 60 to source where are range is 62 next week count the boxes on the actual graph that we have available sometimes you can draw bone graft but for this one that's provided across we have 35 boxes across on the x-axis and up and down we count the small oxygen count that there are 25 can do that by counting by 5 as well  then you just simply divide the range by the number of boxes and 100/35 is roughly 2.85 and then the y-axis 62 can I buy 25 you get about 2.48 now you want to round these up because we don't want boxes that are decimals nobody wants to count by a small Steve want to count by numbers that are really easy to count 5 so if you go to the most immediate Roundup that would be by 3 you could actually extend this to something more is your like 5 but let's see how this works out this is what you make your intervals it will might be different this one happens to be the can you number for X and Y but you will definitely have grass that have different intervals for x and different intervals for y meaning X and Y front moist the same NFL fans to be the same hero in the at the origin and we count across and we start labeling what I'm doing if I'm counting by threes as I go cross  and you want to do the same thing going up as you UPS as you go up you want to also count by threes and do the same thing cuz that's what we decided it would be by threes and obviously you would turn this much further and actually is the next thing you need to do is go ahead and label your X & Y axis simply get this from your data set you can see up at the top that your x-axis is length in you do need to make sure that you use the right units that is very important to use the correct units so I'm going to write down here length in kilometers make sure that you include the units there  and then our y-axis here is in miles  and I'm left-handed so it's going to look like this  and I'm running out of space but that's okay and then the final thing you want to do is to give it some sort of a title of course and I could be anything if you really don't know what you want to call it usually say the Why by the XO this to be length in miles versus length in kilometers you could title this blank  in miles versus meaning you can turn it to  length in kilometers hopefully you can write smaller than I did and then you simply take the data sets and you want to grab them and it's right there in X & Y so these are now you're ordered pairs sorry  so is there a very start with 0 0 then you go over 10 up 6.2 / 20 up 24/30 of 18.6 and someone and someone and you should get a nice line that you want to connect those dots
