All About Me!

  • I have 2 cats named Zeus and Angel.
  • I love rainbows.
  • I love rainbows, and I just couldn't leave out yellow!

  • I LOVE being a teacher!
  • I LOVE being a teacher!  I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 15 and worked in my first classroom for students with special needs.
  • My degree is in Special Education and Early Childhood Education and I graduated from Central Michigan University.
  • While in college, I subbed in every classroom that was offered in my local school district (that I know of!).
  • When I graduated from college in 2006, I moved to Los Angeles and fell in love with it.
  • I moved to Houston in 2010, but have been planning my return to California since 2011.
  • I FINALLY moved back to Los Angeles in February 2016.
  • I started at Rowland USD and Alvarado at the beginning of August.
  • I started at Rowland USD and Alvarado at the beginning of August, AND I LOVE IT!!!
  •  This is my 18th year teaching, all of which has been in special education.
  • I taught 1 semester at a virtual school, and missed being in the classroom so much, I came back (that is how I ended up here!). That semester made COVID virtual instruction a cake walk for me!
  • My students' success is VERY important to me.  I will work tirelessly to ensure your child has the best education I can provide and that it is meaningful for their future.  Sometimes this means a lot of extra work, but to see your child succeed is my number one motivator.
