MATADORS AND MATADOR FAMILIES,
This year we are trying something new and exciting--a color run! This is a fundraiser for the entire student body and the money raised is spent directly on things that provide a positive school climate (academic and good character incentives, lunchtime activities, assemblies, and more).
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN BE PART OF THE FUN!
The run will take place during PE on Feb.26th. Entry fee is $10 for all sorts of colored fun! You will run through a designated route and at certain stations you will get powder/dye tossed on you (don’t worry, it is not dangerous-it is colored cornstarch!) Your goal is to be as colorful as possible by the end! You are encouraged to wear white t-shirts (or purchase an official color run t-shirt) and something fun. AIS Color Run t-shirts will be available for purchase. All participating students will get a color cup to use in the COLOR EXPLOSION at the end of the race! Extra color cups can be purchased prior to the event. You are encouraged to show off your color throughout the day and can wear your shirts the remainder of the day. There will also be sunglasses available for purchase for $2 on the day of the event.
We need as many students, staff, and parents to participate as possible to make this a successful fundraiser. Entries into the run/walk, as well as t-shirts (limited quantity available) and additional color packets, must be submitted to PE teachers by February 19th. Cash and checks (to Alvarado) only.
