Welcome New Alvarado Assistant Principal,
Yoichi Yamamoto
The Alvarado community is excited to welcome Mr. Yoichi (Yo) Yamamoto as their new Assistant Principal on September 8. He joins Rowland USD from Hacienda La Puente Unified. His educational leadership experience includes classroom teacher, teacher on special assignment, District program specialist and an administrator, grades K-12. Most recently he served as an Assistant Principal at Glen A. Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights. His responsibilities at Wilson included the following: planning and coordinating professional development for staff, supporting certificated and classified staff, managing the ASB budget, supervising the athletic department, mentoring student leadership groups, managing facilities, student discipline and assisting the principal in carrying out his/her school vision. He received his credential and Masters in Education from Claremont Graduate University. “I appreciate the opportunity to join the Rowland USD team and look forward to working collaboratively with our students, families and staff.”
