Meet Our Principal

Dear Alvarado Families,

I am truly excited to be returning to the Alvarado Intermediate community as Principal in 2025-26. It is an honor to serve a community filled with talented students, dedicated families, and a committed staff who are all united in the pursuit of achievement.

At Alvarado Intermediate School, we are deeply committed to creating a school environment where every student thrives—academically, socially, and emotionally. Our work is rooted in a shared vision of HONOR, which guides our community every day. We believe that:

  • All students are gifted and talented
  • All students have futures
  • Everyone needs a teacher
  • Every day is a new opportunity to be the greatest version of yourself

We expect every Matador to uphold the values of HONOR:
H – Honesty
O – Ownership
N – Never Give Up
O – Open-hearted
R – Respect

Our school has a proud tradition of excellence. Thanks to the dedication of our staff, students, families, and community, Alvarado has earned recognitions for Schools to Watch, California Gold Ribbon School, and Title I Academic Achievement School. These honors reflect our commitment to providing a high-quality educational experience for every student.

As we look ahead, our goal is to partner with you to make this school year meaningful and impactful. Alvarado is a place where service, care, and connection are at the heart of everything we do. I’m excited for what lies ahead, and I’m confident that together we will build on our strong foundation to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and inspired to succeed.

Please stay connected with us through ParentSquare for the latest updates, and visit our school website regularly for news and important information. If you ever have questions or need support, feel free to reach out to me via email or contact our main office at (626) 964-2358. We are here for you.

Thank you for being a part of the Alvarado community. I look forward to a rewarding and successful year ahead.

Respectfully,
Danielle Villa, Ed.D.
Principal
