NOTE****! I have assigned a required Shoebox Lid Cell Model Project to my Honors class (and as an extra credit project to my other classes) to do over break. I have challenged them to use recycled/re-purposed and/or upcycled items they already have around the house/garage/yard to make the cell parts and organelles out of. Some items can be purchased if needed but I am really wanting them to think creatively and look at used or now unused everyday items in their surroundings in a new way that has them thinking about re using materials for a new purpose: an artisitc (yet scientifically accurate) 3 D model of a cell in a shoebox lid! Please have fun with it!

I have assigned as of Monday 9/30 a Mini Project titled The Steps of the Scientific Method Booklet.
Students have received a BLUE handout with the instructions listed on it and have seen the format on samples they saw in class. Students are making a comic book of a simple experiment (they are NOT actually doing the experiment, they are making it up and creating fake data to support or not support their hypothesis!)
It is a foldable and has a cover and inside are 6 frames that will each contain a cartoon or comic picture that illustrates what the scientist is doing at that step of the scientific method. Under or above each picture is caption where the students write the details of what their scientist is doing (the tasks required at that step) and must use the correct vocabulary from section two of chapter one. If they do 2 comic frames each night they will be easily done by the Friday October 4th due date.
