7th Grade World History (Period E) Assignments

Periods B, D, and E have notebooks for Mesoamerica due on Tuesday. Page 8 is Pok a Tok questions, and page 27 is vocabulary quiz.

District benchmark for history is tomorrow. Study!!!!! Also, the study guide is due.

Checkpoint #4 for history is Wednesday, May 22nd.
Monday: Checkpoint review. On a separate piece of paper, write the questions and answer. For tonight, complete the Enlightenment and China.
Tuesday: Finish checkpoint review if not completed and STUDY!!!
Wednesday: Be working the two or (honors three), facts for each unit of sturdy
Thursday: Be gathering pictures for annotated map and mapping out timeline

All classes will be working on their Aztec journals for the week.
Monday: Notes for Aztec Daily Life; 4 placards. (on my website)
Tuesday: Notes for Aztec Daily Life if not finished, secondary source Aztec Marriage wksht, be working on construction of journal and follow rubric.
Wednesday: Construction of Aztec journal, study for vocabulary terms.
Thursday: Construction of Aztec journal, journals due Friday.

All classes have the Mayan Glyph project and the Pok a Tok questions due on Thursday. In addition, all work in the notebook should be up to date to page 12, sans page 1 and 8. The Maya calendar is due on Thursday for every class but B period as well.

All classes but period A need to have their maps done for Mesoamerica. Use the Atlas pages in the textbook, A-9 and A-10 to complete the map. Be sure to number, label, key, and color the maps.
For honors: we will review vocabulary on Friday.

All classes are to complete both sides of the reteaching worksheet for chapter 11, lesson 1. In addition, the first four vocabulary terms should be done and on page 4 in the notebook.

Thursday: All vocabulary should be completed from pages 251 and 257, maps that were started in class need to be finished, and reading pages 257-259 in the textbook.

Foldables due on Friday. Test review sheet for Test on Monday, due on Monday. Notebooks for China due for all classes on Monday too.

All students have a history checkpoint tomorrow. Please study the checkpoint review sheet and make flashcards if necessary.

All classes have a quiz tomorrow on chapter 15, lessons 1 and 2. In addition, periods A, B, D, and E ,have an Isaac Newton reading and response questions. The reading needs to be highlighted and then placed on page 12 of their notebooks. The response questions are to be written on page 11, and answered.

All classes have a quiz covering chapter 14 lessons 1 and 2 on Thursday.

All classes will turn in the terms/people to know on Friday, 1/11/13 from the unit on the Reformation.

All classes read and highlight the Martin Luther reading and place it on page 4 in their notebooks. Write and answer the questions from the reading on page 3 in the notebooks.

Study for Renaissance test. Also, Renaissance unit notebooks are due. Parents must grade and sign.

All classes have a test on West Africa; Chapter 5 lessons 1,2, and 3, on Monday. In addition, notebooks for the unit are due. All classes have the Trans-Saharan travel guide due Tuesday, November 20th.

All students are reading the placards regarding traveling through Africa. They are to read the following:
Camels
Supplies and Provisions
Wells
Getting Lost

Write and answer the following questions in complete sentences on page 9 in your interactive notebooks:
1. Why were the Berbers significant in the history of West Africa?
2. How did government change after the introduction of Islam?
3. Summarize the influence of Islam on the religious practices of West Africa.

On a separate piece of paper, write and answer the following questions based on the Savannah reading given in class.
1. What animals might early people have hunted in this region?
2. How is this region different from other savannahs? Explain.

Bubble Map the Savannah and add a summary.

All classes have a unit test on Islam Wednesday, October 31st. In addition, the tear art project will be due for all classes on that day with the exception of period F; their project is due on Tuesday, October 30th. The study guide was given today and all students are responsible for doing the questions through the 5 pillars for tomorrow.

Timeline, vocabulary quiz on chapter 3, and a reading are due tomorrow. Timeline was started in class.

Finish the review worksheet for chapter 3, both sides. Do the reading and questions for the Qur'an/Sunnah and Muhammad, (worksheet).

All classes have the monotheism worksheet due. Quiz on geographic regions of the Arabian Peninsula.

All students will get page 22 in their notebooks signed by their parents. Students and parents need to review all the pages in the Medieval Notebook. In addition, all students must complete the Rome section of their checkpoint study guides. This will be done on a separate piece of paper. The entire study guide will be due on Friday.

All students will need to work on their serf/homeless foldable. Be sure that you have 2 complete summaries on the inside, one for the serf and one for the homeless. The opinion should be about who you think, overall, has a better life. Be sure to support your opinion with the notes on page 10 and 12 in your Interactive Notebooks.

All classes need to do the questions on page 302; numbers 3,4,5,and 6. Please write the question, skip a space and then answer neatly. Will be collected.

All classes need to read Chapter 9 lesson 2 pages 299-302; Daily Life in Medieval Europe. Please read carefully and ask parents or older sibling if you have any questions. Finish your opinion on Charlemagne on page 3 in your Interactive Notebooks.

All classes will complete the reteaching worksheet for Chapter 9 lesson 1. In addition, all classes will draw the Feudal Pyramid from page 296 in the textbook. It needs to be colorful, illustrated, and each position identified and explained.
