On June 2, 2025, the Alvarado community joined together to dig up some fun and history with the opening of the 2000 Alvarado Time Capsule! RUSD Student News Reporter Bryanna Valdez was on the scene and interviewed Alvarado Alumni at the event Andrea Marino (RUSD Elementary Counselor) and Christina Peniche, along with RUSD Board Member Kevin T. Hayakawa, Ph.D.
