Here is the guide for highlighting the vocabulary sheet for my classes.

Homework for Wednesday 9/27 is to fill in all of the terms from the Atoms Unit list and complete the first 5 words tonight due tomorrow.  The drawings in the Example boxes MUST be colored (You may NOT color with highlighter).  Students may use other sources to look up  synonyms but I recommend locating and bookmarking an online copy of the 8th grade science textbook CPO Focus on Physical Science to find good, grade level appropriate definitions and diagrams . The 7th grade textbook doesn't have chemistry in it but the 8th grade one does. There are many versions available online.
Homework for Tuesday 9/26:
Students need to complete the Page 1 circle map using the Unit 2 Atoms vocabulary list. Many of the words will be used multiple times in 2 or 3 boxes. They are to use bullets and labeled diagrams and the vocabulary to explain what they know so far about these 4 concepts about atoms.  They are NOT to do the figures under the circle map yet, except period 1, who can do Fig. 1 early if they want to.
****LAST DAY TO to receive credit for the COVER ART for the Atoms folder is Tomorrow Wednesday 9/27 in my room at NUTRITION ONLY!! Students will have had 15 Days to have completed it. Each student received ways to correct or improve it from me on Monday 9/25.
