I have been teaching at Alvarado since 2002 and I feel lucky to work with the World's Greatest staff and  students. I received my Bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Long Beach and a Master degree in Secondary Education, Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Fullerton. In 2008 I became a National Board Certified Teacher in Career and Technical Education. I teach Teen Living, Yearbook and Leadership. I believe on hands-on, interactive learning, and set high, yet reasonable standards for my students. Life and career skills are incorporated into all my classes. I feel it is important for my students to learn skills that they can use now and can continue to develop for the future. I am also the ASB advisor, Yearbook advisor and FCCLA advisor.
