Mission Statement:

Alvarado Intermediate School's Counseling Program is tailored to the developmental needs of adolescent students. The emphasis of the program is on school adjustment, self-worth, social skills, and academic progress.  The counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement.  In partnership with educators, parents, and the community, the counselors facilitate a support system to ensure that all students are prepared with the knowledge and skills to become productive members of society.
